  • 12 tbs unsalted butter divided
  • 1/2 large onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbs hot sauce
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup beer
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 sprigs fresh oregano
  • 1 tbsp bayou city garlic pepper seasoning
  • 1 tsp bayou city All purpose seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • salt to taste
  • parsley garnish (optional)
  • green onion garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the shrimp under cold water and drain. Keep the shells on for maximum flavor.
  • In a large skillet, melt 1/2 cup (8tbsp or whole stick) of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, and beer. Stir well to combine.
  • remove the rosemary, thyme, and oregano leaves from stem and chop them up into fine pieces.
  • Add the fresh rosemary, thyme, oregano, bayou city seasonings, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat them in the sauce. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Avoid overcooking.
  • Once the shrimp are cooked, remove the skillet from the heat. Add the remaining 3 tbsp of butter, stirring until melted into the sauce to create a rich, velvety texture.
