You may have come to my site by way of Tik Tok or Instagram. You may have even seen me on your television screen! Nonetheless, thanks for stopping by my little piece of the internet.
I’m Chef Kolby Kash, born and raised in Houston, TX. I even attended the University of Houston- so I’m Houston through and through! 🤘🏽<– the “official” H-town emoji!
I have been in the kitchen with my PawPaw for as long as I can remember. One of our favorite recipes to make together are these Strawberry Pancakes with Ice Cream. Man, they bring back some amazing memories every time I make them!
My family is Creole, so most of the food I make has a Southern Creole spin on it! The best way I can describe creole food is that it is FULL OF FLAVOR! Here in the south, we love everything seasoned well, and smothered! In fact, I have to not only taste the seasoning in my dishes, I need to see it too!
That being said, I created my own seasoning line in 2022. Bayou City All Purpose and Bayou City Garlic Pepper seasonings (and I’m working on more as we speak). So be sure to subscribe to my email to stay up to date on all the happenings here!
Making my own seasoning blend was a long but exhilarating process. I had to create seasonings that are tantalizing to the palate. They have had RAVE reviews from those that have tried them; and we’re hoping to launch in a grocery store near you very soon!
How I got started
Even though I have been cooking practically my whole life, I started to take it seriously and showcase my culinary skills on social media when the world shut down in 2020. Unbeknownst to me, millions of people around the world loved my online presence! I had several videos go viral on TikTok, which then trickled over to Instagram.
Things blew up so quickly that I was able to quit my 9-5 career as an software specialist and make this cooking thing a full blown business! Since then I have been featured in several syndicated publications.
I have had some long-term sponsorships with well known grocers, and been on some nationally syndicated TV shows; including Top Chef Amateurs on Bravo TV!
