- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbs Bayou City Garlic Pepper
- 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
- 10 slices American cheese or cheddar
Sliders
- 12 hawaiian rolls sliced in half, horizontally
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- sesame seeds optional for topping
- 1 cup lettuce shredded
- 1 large tomato diced
Not So Secret Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbs ketchup
- 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven:
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the beef filling:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic pepper.
- Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce
- Lower the heat and mix in 6 pieces of chopped American cheese until melted and combined. Remove from heat. (reserve 4 pieces for topping)
Bake the sliders:
- Place the halves of the Hawaiian rolls on a baking sheet.
- Evenly spread the chopped cheese mixture over the bottom half of the rolls.
- Add remaining cheese slices over the beef mixture.
- Brush the tops halves of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds..
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and cheese has melted
Assemble the sliders:
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly.
- Add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes over the beef mixture.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over the top over the lettuce and tomato. (make extra for dipping).
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the filling, and slice into individual sliders.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
