Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbs Bayou City Garlic Pepper
  • 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 10 slices American cheese or cheddar

Sliders

  • 12 hawaiian rolls sliced in half, horizontally
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • sesame seeds optional for topping
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 large tomato diced

Not So Secret Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbs ketchup
  • 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven:

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the beef filling:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chopped onions and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic pepper.
  • Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce
  • Lower the heat and mix in 6 pieces of chopped American cheese until melted and combined. Remove from heat. (reserve 4 pieces for topping)

Bake the sliders:

  • Place the halves of the Hawaiian rolls on a baking sheet.
  • Evenly spread the chopped cheese mixture over the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Add remaining cheese slices over the beef mixture.
  • Brush the tops halves of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds..
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and cheese has melted

Assemble the sliders:

  • Remove from the oven, let cool slightly.
  • Add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes over the beef mixture.
  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over the top over the lettuce and tomato. (make extra for dipping).
  • Place the top halves of the rolls over the filling, and slice into individual sliders.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
